"El Libro Internacional" Sectorial Meeting will be carried out on April 18th and 19th, 2006, during the Professional Days in the framework of  the International Book´s Fair of Buenos Aires, and it is organized under the auspice of the AL-Invest Program of business cooperation. 
 
The purpose that motivates us to carry out this Sectorial Meeting again in the framework of the International Book´s Fair of Buenos Aires, is given by the great acceptance and success achieved in the last edition. Without forgetting to mention the own interest manifested by the most representative Argentinean institution in the sector, the Fundación El Libro who confirmed the great satisfaction of their associates during the event organized in April 2005.  
 
Finally, the objective of this Sectorial Meeting is to achieve that the latin american and european businessmen find the necessary environment which stimulates joint-ventures formation, technology transfers and business in general for one and another side of the Atlantic.   
 
The challenge proposed by the new Information Technologies and Communication is to make them accessible to most of the population. The new technological tendencies of impression and edition are producing substantial changes in the form of share and disclose the information and the knowledge, and it is for it that the editorial industry is called to play a significant part in the transmission of it. All of this, an unexplored market of business generation that forces to the companies from the sector to an incessant search of ways of internationalization and development of strategic alliances with companies of another countries facing that the world globalization has opened up.    
 
It is reflected in the growth of the International Fair of the Book of Buenos Aires, a singular phenomenon that has become one of the events with more expectation and growth of the last years. The Fair is considered by the quantity and quality of its exhibitors, 1.399 with 490 foreigners in its last edition, placed in 35.500 m2 what has motivated the visit of 1.180.000 people, as one of the most important from South America.  
 
It is fundamental, also, to highlight that this Fair is organized entirely by the own sector : the Fundación El Libro, which is composed by the following Institutions: Sociedad Argentina de Escritores (SADE), Cámara Argentina del Libro, Cámara Argentina de Publicacioines, Sector Libros y Revistas de la Cámara Española de Comercio, Federación Argentina de la Industria Gráfica y Afines (FAIGA), Federación Argentina de Librerías, Papelerías y Actividades Afines (FALPA), all that endorses and authenticates even more the generation of the business that pursues, beyond the logical cultural impact that promotes.
